Yishai has worked in SEO since 1996. He spent more than two decades on agency teams, working on accounts in retail, hospitality, entertainment and Fortune 500 consumer brands.
He then managed SEO for a national automotive dealer network and for a national home-services franchise. Since 2024 he has run his own consultancy, The SEO Savant.
His strongest ground is local business, where most new agencies find their first clients. He's also a longtime teacher and the author of several books.
SEO isn't complicated. Local SEO for local markets. Tags, titles, schema, solid content, images and video. Then you grow national, or you stay local and own your market.
What gets complicated is the agency. Many agencies run clients through three to five communication channels, dozens of forms and a stack of software. Yishai calls that overkill.
